Happy St Patrick's Day!

Dear ,

Happy St Patrick's Day from the Ireland Funds Australia. We hope your weekend was filled with festivities and friends.

The Ireland Funds Australia kicked off celebrations for the week with a Supporters Reception, hosted by Deloitte Sydney, giving us an opportunity to thank our board members, major sponsors and friends for all of their support in 2018.

Chairman Yvonne Le Bas provided an overview of significant impacts over the last two years and the wonderful projects we have supported such as Science Gallery Melbourne, Integrate My School and the Trinity St James’s Cancer Institute.

Yvonne also spoke of the partnership we have formed with Trinity College Business School to support 20 scholarship places in their MBA Programme for Australian Residents. With the first intake happening this September Yvonne encouraged guests to spread the word across their networks for any bright minds who would like to earn their MBA at Ireland’s leading university.

Friday saw the Ireland Funds Australia celebrate with more than 1,500 people at the world famous Lansdowne Club St Patrick's Day Lunch and also participate in the inaugural Trade Fair held before the lunch at the International Convention Centre.

The Ireland Funds Australia are proud to be The Lansdowne Club's "Charity of Choice". With over 2,500 members, the Lansdowne Club is Australia’s premier Irish business network and we are thrilled to have this charity partnership over the next few years.

The Lansdowne Club donated some of the proceeds of the raffle from the lunch to support one of the scholarships in the above Ireland Funds and Trinity College MBA initiative.

Our Chairman, Yvonne Le Bas was also awarded the highest honour from The Lansdowne Club on the day, the Peter Brennan Chairman's Award in recognition of her service to the Irish community.

In 2018 we had a record-breaking grant round of over $1.8 million to 11 projects.

Full details of our grant round can be viewed in our Trustee Report and additional information about our projects can be viewed here.

Our next grant round is fast approaching in June and with your help, we would love to continue to make a huge impact on the lives of those less fortunate. There are tangible ways you can contribute such as attending our events, joining or renewing one of our giving programmes and encouraging your friends and colleagues to do the same.

You can also make a one-off tax deductible donation*.

On behalf of our Chairman Yvonne Le Bas, our Board of Directors, Young Leaders and myself thank you for all that you do.
