IN FULL SWING

In the past few weeks, US Department of Energy and the European Commission announced financial support for CCS and other low-carbon technologies. The Institute also hosted a briefing in California to inform policymakers and stakeholders on the important role of carbon capture in California's energy transition, and will today hold our 8th Annual DC Forum on CCS

The Institute is also hosting two further CCS events in the coming weeks, one in Washington DC and one in Brisbane, Australia. We hope you can join us!

INSTITUTE HOLDS BRIEFING IN CALIFORNIA

In early March, the Institute hosted an expert CCS briefing in Sacramento, California, attended by staffers, policymakers, ENGOs, and a variety of stakeholders. California's ambitious climate goals to achieve zero-carbon electricity by 2040, and a carbon-neutral economy by 2045, it's first class geology and ambition to be a global climate action leader all demonstrate it is an ideal location for the deployment of CCS, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors.
